Hi Peirce members,
It’s been a busy few weeks, with many new initiatives underway. As a district, we are outlining our anti-bullying policy. As a school, we are in the middle of initiating the ‘ALERTNOW’ system which we hope to test today or tomorrow. It will alert you by phone or email (whatever you chose in the parent portal) if your child is out, plus it will remind you of early release days, no school days, and snow emergencies. In the unlikely case of school evacuation, it would alert you to that as well.
In the classrooms, the kids are working very hard. It’s a joy to be able to see the learning that happens everyday. One day last week I even sat in on an “Open Circle” in second grade. They are such good listeners and problem solvers!
The kids aren’t the only ones who work hard around here. I see teachers cars here before 7am when I arrive, and many are often asked to leave at 6pm when the building is closing.
Our PTO and Advisory Council have been hard at work too. I’d like to say thank you to all of you who contribute so much to our school, our community, and beyond. And thanks to Lori Pescatori for running so many fundraisers this month!
Thank you all for all you do, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
